Mendon May Day 2010
The city of Mendon has been celebrating May Day for the past 148 years. I grew up in Mendon and I had the opportunity of going there this past Saturday with some of my family members to share in the May Day celebration.
These are all the little girls who danced around and braided the may poles
The little girls sing songs, skip and dance around the may poles, braiding it as they go.

After watching the May pole dancers and attening the program afterwards, we all drove over to my mothers home and had a wonderful lunch and afternoon visiting with each other. My brother Steven and some of his family stopped by later. Sorry guys but I did not get any pictures of you.

I remember going to May Day every year as a kid! Family traditions are fun :)
I am glad you had a good time! I'll go next year if it isn't so cold.
