Celebrating Our 16th Anniversary
Phil and I celebrated our 16th anniversary on March 31st. We started the week off by staying at the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake in the "South Pacific" theme room. We went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays and then to the Hale Center Theater to see the musical, "Fiddler On The Roof" It was an awesome musical and so well done.
More than anything else I wanted to go somewhere warm and bask in the sunshine. Anywhere away from this cold winter weather. So the next day we headed South to Nevada and stayed for a couple of nights at the CasaBlanca Resort.
The grounds were beautiful along with plenty of warmth and sunshine. I spent as much time as I could outside enjoying the warm weather and just relaxing from the day to day routine.
A few pictures of the grounds
The ducks were so cute and friendly.
I loved all the Palm Trees
Phil and I purchased the couples massage package so our first night there we enjoyed a wonderful hour massage and use of these mineral pools and their steam rooms. We were invited to come back the next day and enjoy all the facilities that they offer. This is where I spent a great deal of my time at the resort. It was so relaxing and peaceful. There was hardly anyone there so it was like we had the place to ourselves.
The Spa was like it's own little Oasis, secluded and tucked away from the rest of the resort. The next day I had a facial that was one of the most relaxing and enjoying things I did there.
Right outside the Spa was the huge pool for all the guests to enjoy. It was a beautiful pool but I pretty much spent all my time at the Spa enjoying the peace and quite.

More pictures of the grounds and wildlife

I loved watching the baby ducks. It reminded me of this beautiful Easter season

After spending a couple of days at the CasaBlanca Resort we drove to Las Vegas and stayed one night at the "ExCalibar." We enjoyed the amazing all you can eat buffet at "The Paris" (My favorite buffet in Vegas) I am pretty sure that I ate at least $100.00 worth of Crab legs and Shrimp. Phil couldn't believe how much I ate but I have the extra pounds on my butt to prove it.
