January 2009

January has been a busy month. After the long holiday break and enjoying the luxury of being home for 16 days, Phil and I headed back to work. We are both blessed with wonderful jobs so there is not much to complain about. Life is good!

Steven McFadden, my wonderful son-in-law, celebrated his 22nd birthday on January 12th. Just a couple of days after that we found out through an ultrasound that Megan and Steve are having a baby BOY the end of May! We are all soooooooo excited!

Megan, Steven and Zoe (I know it is not a very good picture but it's the best I have)

Zoe's hair is getting long enough to put in little pony tails. I just had to take a couple of pictures of her cute hair. I love it!

Phil and I got a year membership pass to the Clearfield Rec Center for Christmas so we have been spending time there excercising and trying to get in shape. Megan has been going with me to do water arobics and we love it!

And then....on January 27th, Phil had surgery on his knee. It turned out to be much worse than we had anticipated. The doctor had to create a fracture in his knee to allow some of the bone marrow to come through to create a cushion. He is not able to put any weight or pressure on his knee for at least 6 weeks so he will be hopping along on crutches for quite awhile. His doctor said that he probably just bought Phil some time and that he will eventually have to have a knee replacement. Dottie, Phil's mother is having a knee replacement in a couple of weeks. The doctor said it is hereditary.
Thanks for visiting our blog! We love to hear from you so please leave a comment.

Hooray another little boy in the family. Those guys are going to be best of friends. Good luck with Phil's recovery.

I think the family picture you got of us is kinda cute and neat with the snow falling! And I really like the one of you and Zoe! I hope Phil's recovery goes well.
