Gall bladder Surgery

After what I thought was nothing more than a horrible flu, I went to the doctor only to find out that I had a very sick gall bladder. So on October 27th I had it removed and after 10 days off work I am now back to my normal routine and feeling like a new woman! I have had symptoms for the past couple of years but did not know that they were related to my gall bladder.

Below are some pictures that the doctor gave me for show and tell. I had a lot of scar tissue that had attached to my gall bladder so the surgery took longer than anticipated but my doctor said that he enjoys a challenge and all went well.

This is my gall bladder once they removed it from my body. As you can see it is only about 3 inches long. My girls counted over 25 gall stones that have contributed to making my life miserable for the past two years.
